For all you Eragon fans, including me, a 4th and final book to the Inheritance Cycle is coming soon. Unfortunately, no one knows when. We have been waiting for quite a while, anxiously wondering how this adventure in Alagaesia will end. However, Paolini himself has confirmed a few things regarding his next book.
Confirmed:
An emerald dragon will be on the cover.
The title will refer to something Eragon inherits (after all, the series is called Inheritance).
Murtagh and Thorn will play bigger parts in the story, and some chapters will even be from their perspective.
Eragon will return to Carvahall.
A new of species of creatures will be introduced.
The origin of werecats will be explained.
The rest of the prophecies from Angela will be fulfilled.
It will be bigger and better and published as soon as Christopher Paolini finishes it. :)
There are also a lot of things that will be answered in this book such as:
Who’s going to become the next dragon rider? What side will he/she fight for?
Where is the Vault of Souls? Where is the Rock of Kuthian?
Will Eragon really have to leave Alagaesia?
Will there be a king after Galbatorix is defeated?
Who is going to be the girl of Eragon’s “epic romance”?
So many questions… I really hope the book comes out soon. It seems like we have been waiting forever! But we can look forward to this really being the best, most action-packed book yet!

P.S. Does anyone think this whole story sort of resembles Star Wars? I mean just a little… There are a few similarities…
